“Winter Olympics” (Season 7, Episode 7)

The first full-length special episode. The trio decided to have their own version of the Winter Olympics (it was held in Italy that year), at Lillehammer, Norway. Lillehammer held the 1994 Winter Olympics and Top Gear used the site to various levels of success.

The episode culminated with an attempt to launch a 1986 Mini off a ski jump. With the help of the United Kingdom Rocketry Association, the Mini was loaded with rockets out back. Skis were put over the wheels and it was launched. It got airborne and did land on its skis.
