III. “Le Mans: Racing Is Everything”

The series chronicles the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans and provides pretty good behind the scenes access of the iconic endurance race. The six 30-minutes episodes follow various classes and teams involved in the race.

  • Nissan and their driver, Jann Mardenborough who got his drive after winning the “Nissan PlayStation GT Academy”.
  • Mark Weber attempting to win his first 24 Hours of Le Mans.
  • Audi and their LMP team.

Unlike “Truth In 24” this Amazon series isn’t an infomercial for Audi. (I like “Truth In 24” a lot and Jason Stathan will have a bright future as a narrator. Heck he might be better than Liev Schreiber for sports documentaries.)

Overall, the series gives you a good overview of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and showcases all the moving parts of the race. From team owners, drivers, team principals and all the rest you get a pretty good idea what it takes to participate in the iconic endurance race.
