Your Site Expert at Art of Gears was once a hockey reporter.

True story, I was a credentialed reporter covering the Arizona Coyotes for three-seasons, at the same time I was also covering motorsports and other car related news. I spent many an evening in the press box at Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona covering the Coyotes.

It was fun and I developed the all important skill of being able to write an article while in a loud arena, but I’m not sure how I can list that on my resume.

I’ve been a hockey fan since I was about 13 and wasted a lot of time on my Sega Genesis playing NHL Hockey. My strategy back then was simple: use the Montreal Canadiens and score at least two-goals because Patrick Roy will shut down most squads.

I still love hockey and the Montreal Canadiens (I’m still reeling from their Stanley Cup finals defeat) but today let’s focus on cars. More specifically the cars of NHL defenseman, P.K. Subban.

Subban is still one of the NHL’s best defenseman after 12-seasons with three different teams (Montreal, Nashville and currently New Jersey) and is a three-time NHL All Star. In the 2012-2013 season he won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s top defenseman and tied defenseman in scoring with 38-points.

His car collection is equally strong.
