Art of Gears is looking for a site expert and paid contributors!

Art of Gears has steadily grown as FanSided’s home for car news and opinion coverage since the site was first launched. We know that the automotive world has a passionate fan base eager for news, opinion, and discussion, and the team here has been there to cover it all. That has always been our goal here at Art of Gears: To give our readers the very best car news, opinion, and discussion that we possibly can.

Consider yourself a passionate fan? Read us or other automotive news sites with regularity? Scour message boards for all the news and discussion you can find? Ever wonder if you should write about cars yourself? We are looking to add to our group of contributors and this could be your chance to join the team.

Role Description

We like to let our team write about the aspects of automotive news they are most passionate about. Do you like to talk about the latest models in the showroom and brand new automotive technology? Perhaps you’re interested in writing about cars in the world of television and the movies. You may even want to take a look back at some classic cars from history. No matter what your pertinent interests may be, there could be a place for you here on the team at Art of Gears!

Our Site Expert roles are for those who would like to be the main content contributor and guide the editorial voice of the site. We ask for a minimum of 20 posts per month for people who take on these roles. In return, we offer a generous revenue-sharing program as well as in-house training programs and support systems, designed to help you grow as a writer, editor, on social media, and more.

Paid Contributors are asked to write one post per month. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.

We understand that everyone has their own motivation for wanting to write about their favorite topics. No matter what your reason, this is a chance to join a team of writers who are simply passionate about the automotive world and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base.

Want to join us?

Submitting a proposal is easy. Just head on over to FanSided.com/Join to submit your proposal today! It’ll give you a chance to share some insight into your background (prior online writing experience is not necessary but always encouraged) and let us know why you’d be a fit for the site, so give it your best. Please also include a pertinent writing sample to reflect your current knowledge of car news. This can be an original article written exclusively for the purpose of your proposal or an existing article published elsewhere.

Once you have submitted your proposal, we’ll be in touch from there.

If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to email aaron.hertzog@fansided.com or max.ogden@fansided.com at any time.
