Kia, much like Hyundai, is one of those automakers that has managed to change its reputation for the better. One example of this change is the Kia Telluride, which has a new model for 2024. The 2024 Kia Telluride brings with it a wealth of changes from the previous model and continues its trend of excellence.

It provides solid performance, has a luxurious interior, and is sure to have the same legendary reliably as the 2023 Kia Telluride. Here’s a look into the new model and why it could be the best midsize SUV for the year.

People like the Kia Telluride because, while not the fastest SUV, it offers stable and even perhaps exciting performance. The 2024 Kia Telluride could be the best midsize SUV for that reason. According to Edmunds, the new Telluride has a 3.8-liter V6 engine under its hood. It has a maximum output of 291 horsepower and a torque of 262 lb-ft. This means it delivers the same performance as the 2023 Kia Telluride.

The Telluride can be either front or all-wheel drive and uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. This SUV can also tow up to 8,000 pounds, making it a pretty versatile option for drivers. Unfortunately, Kia’s inclusion of the V6 makes it less fuel efficient than other vehicles its size. According to reports, averages 18 miles per gallon in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. While not bad, most people want more out of a midsize SUV.

The new Telluride is beautiful inside and out

The world regards the Kia Telluride for its bold look. In a world where many say SUVs have gotten boring, the Telluride is still fresh. Luckily, this is the case on the inside and out. Inside, the 2024 Kia Telluride has many features and has strong claims of luxury. For one, it has a spacious cabin and seats up to eight people.

Though not as luxurious as higher trims, even the base models have excellent build quality. However, some of the higher-end trims have options for Nappa leather upholstery and driver seat memory settings.

This is also a contender for best midsize SUV thanks to the interior technology. All trims of the 2024 Kia Telluride have a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Of course, it’s fully comparable with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Buyers can also add a 10-speaker premium sound system. Additionally, the new Telluride includes Driver Talk, which is a feature where the driver can use the speakers to amplify their voice. This feature comes in handy for rear-seat passengers who may struggle to hear.
