The 2024 Honda CR-V may not be the best midsize SUV for speed, but it offers formidable performance that stands out from the pack. According to Edmunds, it comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four. It has a maximum output of 190 horsepower and has a torque of 179 lb-ft. The 2024 CR-V has configurations for front and all-wheel drive. Performance is pretty on par with the 2023 Honda CR-V.

Those wanting a bit more power can opt for trims with the 2.0-liter hybrid setup. This one produces a maximum horsepower of 204. The transmission used here is an electrically variable speed automatic. Regarding speed, it takes the 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid about 7.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

What makes the CR-V such a great vehicle for performance is that it drives like the premium car that it is. Some SUVs in the category feel underpowered, whereas the CR-V lives up to the Honda name.

The new CR-V is one of the best SUVs for fuel economy

Nowadays, buyers are concerned with fuel efficiency. This makes sense as gas prices are unpredictable, and car ownership is already expensive on its own. Of course, the hybrid version of the 2024 Honda CR-V is even better in this regard. It averages 40-43 miles per gallon in the city and 34-36 MPG on the highway. It has a comfortable interior

The interior of the 2024 Honda CR-V may not be the most luxurious, but it is comfortable. With seating for five, this is a spacious SUV with a well-designed interior. It has 40 inches of headroom on the front row and 38.2 inches on the second row. Leg room is also pretty generous, with 41 inches on each row. Upgraded trims also offer features such as leather and heated seats. There is also dual-zone climate control on all except the base trim of the new CR-V.

Regarding interior technology, the 2024 CR-V also shines. It comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen display. However, higher trims have a 9-inch unit with wireless compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There are multiple USB ports throughout the vehicle, including USB-C hookups.
