Subaru announced the debut of a 2024 WRX TR at the 2024 Subiefest Florida. The TR model will be a tuner-ready vehicle for car enthusiasts.

Subiefest Florida is an annual festival for all types of Subaru enthusiasts, giving the public an opportunity to drive their own subarus in designed courses. Subiefest Florida will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7th, at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida.

The showcasing of the new WRX will be joined by Travis Pastrana, Subaru rally driver, and Bucky Lasek, professional skateboarder and rallycross driver.

Travis Pastrana is also making his return into the American Rally Association (ARA) with the Subaru Motorsports USA team. In Feburary, Pastrana announced his depature from ARA for the 2023 season. With Pastrana’s return to ARA in the 2024 season, the Subaru Motorsports team also announced a new rally car in August.

Subaru has not released any vehicle specs or what the TR could entail for car enthusiasts. However, Subaru has released a photo of a red Brembro break, matching a small snippet of a red exterior. In addition, the photo also reveals new wheels for the WRX, that are similar to the wheel design as seen on the WRX STi.

Subaru fans have been devastated by the new re-design of the WRX in 2022. The new WRX look steers away from the aggressive, boxy style the previous generations had and the plastic fenders. With the discontinuation of the STi model in 2021, the tuner-ready WRX model may give fans the extra boost and thrill that they’re missing from the STi models.
