Justice League New Trailer Showcases Batman’s New Vehicles: Batmobile, Night Crawler and Flying Fox
After teasing us for what feels like an eternity, the new Justice League trailer is finally online. The trailer marks the entry of the new weapon-loaded Batmobile and the all-new addition to the Dark Knight’s garage – the Night Crawler all-terrain vehicle. Oh, and there is the Flying Fox aircraft, which isn’t just an upgraded Batwing.
The all-new trailer for the upcoming Justice League movie is here after what feels like a decade of waiting. It certainly ticks all the boxes as far as delivering the blockbuster superhero movie goods is concerned. Action? Yes. High stakes? Yes. Spectacle? Yes. Superhero banter? Yes. Humor? Yes. Fancy weapons and gear. Hell Yeah! What about Batman’s fancy stuff? Well, Batsy stocked up his arsenal with a heavily-weaponised version of the Batman V Superman Batmobile. But he didn’t stop there and added two all-new machines in his garage – the Night Crawler and the Flying Fox.
Cutting to the chase, the trailer features the Batmobile from BvS, in its second outing in the DCEU. However, Batman has installed more guns, rocket launchers and weapons on his ride than in its previous iteration. The reason? He is not going to deal with human threats this time as an entire alien race of Parademons (the winged creatures in the trailer) are there for the newly-formed Justice League to deal with. Not to mention the powerful super villain Steppenwolf who serves as the primary antagonist in the movie.
Being the only superhero in the team without any actual super powers, the Dark Knight has to rely on good-old weapon systems to pack a mean punch when the fighting begins. So, that more or less will suffice as the explanation to those who are complaining about Batman using too many guns in the Justice League movie. The trailer also shows the Batmobile teaching a Parademon a lesson or two on who owns the streets of Gotham.
Even Aquaman seems to love the sheer power and speed of the Batmobile as we see him charging to battle on board it, with Batman behind the wheel.
The New Toys
Next up is the Night Crawler, which can be spotted twice in the new trailer. There is a Slashfilm report detailing the new vehicle as an all-wheel-drive off-road machine which is capable of traversing terrain that the Batmobile can’t. Now this is where things get interesting. The Night Crawler has the capability to transform to a spider-like configuration. Seen that somewhere else? We have. In the LEGO Batman Movie. Named the Scuttler, that vehicle too had similar attributes (but it was sentient and adorable) and after catching brief glimpses of the Night Crawler in the Justice League trailer, the latter looks more like a live-action adaptation of the LEGO movie contraption. The Night Crawler also borrows design cues from the tank that Batman used in The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel.
Speaking to Slashfilm, producer Deborah Snyder said,
"There’s a great action set piece that takes place in it. And it’s pretty hard to get the Batmobile through there, so it’s nice to have the Crawler which kind of can maneuver."
The final addition is the Flying Fox, the interiors of which can be seen in many images, teasers and trailers which have been released so far. Though its exterior shot didn’t make it to the new Justice League trailer, we get a clear view of how the League’s air vehicle looks in the Wonder Woman character trailer. The specially-designed aircraft has room for the entire team and their gear. It has space for the Batmobile too. Clever thinking, Mr. Wayne.
The new Justice League trailer promises a lot and instils a lot of faith in the upcoming superhero team-up movie from Warner Bros-DC. The ride so far hasn’t been an easy one for the DCEU with Man of Steel, Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad failing to meet both critical and commercial success in line with the studio’s expectations. They did manage to turn in profits and move merchandise, but failed to win hearts the way the makers wanted them to.

With the new trailer pitching the Justice League movie as a fun and exciting, action-adventure superhero spectacle which delivers a thoroughly enjoyable cinematic experience at the theaters, this superhero team-up flick has all the chances of becoming the DC film that will make Marvel Studio executives genuinely nervous.
Justice League has been scheduled for a November 2017 release worldwide.
