Marvel’s Black Panther movie is being filmed as we speak and many images and clips have surfaced online which feature the Vibranium-suited T’Challa perched on top of a moving Lexus LC.

Over the course of almost 9 years, since the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie took off with 2008’s Iron Man, Marvel has created what can be called one of the most cohesive, critically acclaimed and above all, highly successful shared universes in Hollywood. Joining the impressive line-up of MCU movies is Black Panther which is undergoing filming now. And now, images and clips taken by bystanders at the movie’s shooting location in South Korea show that a Lexus LC (either the LC 500 or the LC 500h) is involved in one of the superhero actioner’s major set pieces.

It’s till unclear on how the story takes the king of the African nation of Wakanda to South Korea, half way around the world. But since Marvel is presenting the Black Panther movie as a globe-trotting geo-political action adventure movie, it’s not that hard to see T’Challa travelling to another part of the globe to deal with the bad guys.

The footage and images show the masked superhero perched on top of a blue Lexus LC as it drives down the streets of Busan at night at not-so-high speeds. But then again, we may see this transform into a high-octane chase once the special effects and editing crews take over.

Variety has reported that the action scene set in South Korea will involve 150 cars and 700 extras along with helicopters as well as lots of guns. So basically it’s going to be a full-blown vehicular warfare that’s being set up for us to cheer when the movie hits theaters.

The official synopsis of Black Panther is as follows.

"Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk."

Directed by Ryan Coogler (Creed, Fruitvale Station) and starring Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa a.k.a the Black Panther, the latest addition to the MCU also features Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Sterling K. Brown, Martin Freeman and Daniel Kaluuya.

Marvel’s Black Panther will open in US theaters on February 16, 2018.

On an additional note, there hasn’t been any official word yet on Lexus being involved with the Marvels Studios movie in terms of product placement. So the screen time that the Lexus LC will have in the Black Panther movie is something which is hard to guess at this point of time.
