Velocity is all set to take the wraps off its all-new car-customization reality show – Speed is the New Black. And Classic Car Studio has uploaded a trailer on YouTube, teasing the excitement which is about to erupt from May 24.

Come May 24 and we’ll have one more car-customization reality TV show to sink our teeth into. Speed is the New Black will premiere on Velocity towards the end of the month. From what we have heard so far about the show, it’s going to be a refreshing change from what we have been exposed to so far when it comes to car-build shows.

Noah Alexander and his crew at the Classic Car Studio in St. Louis, Missouri will be taking over the stage in a show which is targeted at a younger generation of gearheads and aspiring builders. If we go by the reports floating around, the show’s first season will see a wide array of classic and modern cars transforming into unique pieces of automotive art and engineering and the action will be kicked off with a classic 1965 Ford Mustang.

In short, these chaps are going to make some really magnificent machines which aren’t just fast and furious to look at, but even more sensational when unleashed on a track or the open road.

We are going to go by the recent trailer uploaded by Classic Car Studio and say that the first impression is the best impression. The cars look great in it and that’s what matters!

More from Cars on TV

Classic Car Studio has been in the business of creating unique cars for some time and have worked on everything from American muscle cars to European sports cars and pretty much all that’s in between. It’ll be engaging as well as interesting to see this new crew’s skills and dynamics being put to the test when ambitious projects and a dozen cameras are unleashed upon them.

The YouTube channel of Classic Car Studio now features a short trailer of what to gear up for in the first season. The cars and the creative process which goes into making them great are the highlights of the little teaser and we hope the show will be focused on those than the workshop floor drama. Though the latter can be fun at times to watch, an overdose of the same has cost many shows their respective fan base. Hopefully, that won’t be the case for Speed is the New Black. Keeping fingers crossed for that.
