Japanese tuner Liberty Walk LB Performance’s bizarre body kit for the Honda S660 Kei car is a bonkers, tarmac-scraping, wide body, wannabe monster. Reminds us of Baby Groot from MCU.

Liberty Walk LB Performance is one of Japan’s major car tuning houses. But usually its portfolio is stuffed with supercars and sports cars with badges ranging from Ferrari to Dodge. Well, you’ll find Audi, Merc, McLaren, Mazda and a lot more names in that list. The tuner starts off with an already awesome canvas and makes it more insane with outrageous body kits and aftermarket parts.

We were surprised to see the images of an outlandishly-modified Honda S660 – a tiny little 63 hp Kei car which is sold in Japan only – floating around the web. A product of Liberty Walk’s mad experiments, the S660 has received an extensive visual upgrade which makes it look like a Lamborghini wannabe at a late-night street race gathering.

The production-model is a quirky little thing in itself. But gone are its adorable, cute looks and with Liberty Walk SSX-660R body kit on, the 660cc mid-engined, two-seater looks meaner and faster than it ever can be.

Beauty is in the eye of the holder and this Honda S660 is one of those divisive car modifications. Most aftermarket jobs don’t win everyone’s appreciation and that’s bound to happen.

LIBERTY WALK自由に歩く!!! LB★WORKS HONDA S660 NEW DESIGN JAPAN…

The Liberty Walk SSX-660R kit on the Honda S660 tries too hard with its wide body treatment. The new aggressive looks may not win universal acclaim. But the sharper bumpers, wide fenders with exposed rivets, side skirts and ducktail spoiler does succeed in lending this version with a twisted “wonderfully weird” appeal.

Throw some more money into the pool and you’ll get a new suspension setup with the package. We assume the cambering wheels with Falcon slicks are part of that additional option.

Liberty Walk LB Performance offers two versions of the Honda S660 body kit for customers in Japan. The pricier SSX-660R comes with the whole lot of bells and whistles while the cheaper SSX-660 will be devoid of the wide fenders.
