The Not Cars

There is one of those stereotypical helicopter shots of the deserts in the Middle East, with a Ripsaw EV2 luxury tank remodeling the sand dunes. You have seen that machine before, in this year’s The Fate of the Furious. They’ve got a tank, at last.

And Richard Hammond is laughing hysterically while piloting it. Oh, he also took it for a destructive stroll through a mall.

There are a bunch of planes in play in some of the episodes, with a light aircraft shown to be trembling in the wind on a runway. A jet engine is involved in some capacity here. We vividly recollect how these guys destroyed cars by parking them behind a massive passenger aircraft. Those were the Top Gear days.

We are also treated to the sight of a jet engine powering up, hopefully one which is mounted on a badass drag racer. A shot featuring James May seated in a red car with lots of equipment inside, kind of hints at that vehicle being the aforementioned jet car.

A massive airplane which is used to extinguish forest fires has some screen time here. Wonder what Jezza, Slow and Hamster are up to with that thing.

The Mozambique trip may turn out to be an eventful one as we see a couple of aerial shots of the three vehicles, one of them being the motorcycle from which Richard fell over and hurt his head. We have a post with the details right here. Jeremy driving along in an old pickup truck must be a scene from that film.
