The Range Rover Evoque  just topped the list of top 10 cars purchased by the Premier League players in the UK.

Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche – those are the names that one would expect to lead the list of top 10 popular cars purchased by UK’s Premiership Football players. Of course, those guys can afford million-dollar hypercars and luxurious SUVs custom-made for them. But most of them chose to buy sensible Range Rover Evoque SUVs along with those one-off, uber-expensive and exotic machines. A lot of Evoques, to be precise.

A report prepared by JBR Capital – a UK vehicle finance expert – states that the Range Rover Evoque led a pack which consisted of some real rock stars of the supercar and luxury car segments to be the most popular vehicle in a Premier League Footballer’s fleet.

The list is as follows and do note that all these cars were bought on finance by some of the richest sportsmen in the world. We wonder why they still opt for a loan when they can afford to make the purchase by signing a check leaf.

The Range Rover Evoque does have a lot more space at the back to pack in your gear than let’s say, a Lamborghini Aventador.

Purchasing a Range Rover Evoque which costs somewhere around £30k in the UK makes sense for your everyday commuting needs. We are talking about English Premier League Football players here. They may not actually have to head out to buy a bottle of milk all by themselves.

But some of them would still like to get out of their well-appointed mansions and head over to a nearby shop to pick up some groceries. For that job, the low-slung Aventadors and Berlinettas are a bit too… in convenient. The Range Rover Evoque on the other hand, is perfect for that quick dash to the stores in the neighborhood. And though it’s the smallest one in its range, it’s still a Range Rover.

As for JBR Capital, those chaps specialize in providing finance services for purchasing classic cars, supercars, super-luxury saloons and SUVs and even racing cars. Sounds more like the kind of people that we’ll never meet when we buy our humble, budget machines to get from A to B.
