2019 Infiniti QX50

The Infiniti QX50 brings an all-new design to the 2019 model year. The biggest news for the new QX50 is Infiniti’s revolutionary variable-compression-ratio turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The new engine tech is the model’s claim to fame, but the rest of the vehicle is extremely attractive, too. That’s why the 2019 Infiniti QX50 made WardsAuto 10 Best Interior list. The cabin of this CUV is downright gorgeous.

WardsAuto’s first qualification for the QX50 being on the list was its interior design’s uniqueness. The publication stated that the QX50 is “one of those interiors that has us seeing a lot of conceptual edginess appearing in production vehicles.”

The editors also mentioned the vehicle’s luxurious materials, including the Ultrasuede headliner, accents on the center armrest, instrument panel, and doors; the semi-aniline leather; and open-pore maple wood trim.

The publication also noted the spaciousness of the second-row seat, large center console, and the three digital display screens. There are two in the center stack and one in the instrument cluster. WardsAuto claims the QX50’s interior is “effervescent, calming and inspiring,” which is some seriously high praise. Few other interiors can inspire that kind of language. It seems that the variable-compression-ratio turbocharged engine isn’t the only thing worthy of headlines for this CUV.
