A.J. Foyt

He drove in NASCAR for more than 30-years and won seven-races in 128-starts but Foyt dominated IndyCar like very few before or since.

Foyt’s IndyCar trophy case includes:

  • Four time Indy 500 winner (1961, 1964, 1967,1977)
  • Seven time IndyCar Series champion (1960,1961,1963,1964,1967,1975,1979)
  • 67 race victories

Let’s get down to brass tacks, Foyt is probably the greatest IndyCar driver in history. Scott Dixon is close but Foyt is still the man.
