Tesla achieves best-selling car record in Norway

Tesla, owned by Elon Musk has announced it has broke the record for the most Model Y‘s sold in Norway. The breaking news comes after Tesla Tweeted the manufacturer had produced 3,000 Model Y’s in a single week at the Giga Berlin factory.
The previous record was set in 1969 after the Beetle sold almost 17,000 units across the country. The beetle is regarded one of the most iconic cars in the world and has been well used in the Country of Argentina since the initial production stage.
In a tweet by the official Tesla account, the car manufacturing firm tweeted;
"”Model Y just broke the bestselling car record in Norway, held since 1969 by the beetle”"
Tesla also announced at the same time that the Model Y became the first vehicle to get the highest rating safety score than any other vehicles tested by the safety testing agency. This therefore the Model Y has the highest safety rating with 5 stars.
The first Beetle was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and was integrated with a four cylinder air-cooled engine which was able to accelerate the vehicle to a top speed of 82mph/ 131kmph and had 53bhp.
However in 1972, the Beetle produced and manufactured more than 15m units worldwide which then held by Ford, reigning Volkswagen as the new global champion.
The Beetle has also been owned by major people in the world including Chris Pratt, Jay Leno and the President of Uruguay who was offered $1m for his blue coloured model. The car was also heavily featured in the film ‘Herbie’.
