Not only does it offer fairly exciting performance, but it has a modern look that appeals to various buyers. Additionally, the new Chevrolet Blazer shows that you can teach old dogs new tricks as it has managed to become relevant for a new generation of drivers. According to Edmunds, the 2024 Blazer comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four engine. It has a maximum output of 228 horsepower and a torque of 258 lb-ft. The Blazer comes standard as a front-wheel drive SUV, but there are also all-wheel drive configurations.

Those wanting a bit more power can opt for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer RS, which uses a 308-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine. Its torque is 270 lb-ft. Like the other trims, it uses a 9-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, acceleration estimates for the 2024 Blazer are up in the air. However, the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 6.6 seconds, so the new model should be fairly on par.

Regarding technology, the 2024 Chevy Blazer also shines. Each trim has a 10.2-inch touchscreen display. It works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and offers wireless charging for compatible smartphones. The vehicle has multiple USB ports, a 120-volt outlet on some trims, and it has a respectable car sound system. Buyers can upgrade the system to an eight-speaker Bose sound system.

Safety makes this the best midsize SUV

The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer is also a top midsize SUV because it’s safe. It comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist. This suite of features includes Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Intellibeam High Beam Assist.
