Now, that trend continues with the 2024 Honda Pilot as it includes what has always made the midsize SUV excellent but also brings a few new bells and whistles. Like the 2023 Honda Pilot, this is an automotive triumph with its solid performance and advanced features. Like practically all Honda models, this is an SUV almost anyone would be happy to drive.

Performance makes the 2024 Honda Pilot a top rated SUV

The 2024 Honda Pilot is a top rated SUV because it has a powerful V6 engine. According to Edmunds, it’s a 3.5-liter with a maximum output of 285 horsepower and a torque of 262 lb-ft. It has front and all-wheel drive configurations and uses a 10-speed automatic transmission. Many will note that this is the same powertrain as the 2023 Honda Pilot.
Some road tests confirm that the 2024 Honda Pilot accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 6.9 seconds, which makes it competitive.

People also consider this a top rated SUV because it offers expert steering and braking. Regarding fuel economy, it averages 19 miles per gallon in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. Some may complain about the fuel economy, but this is standard for a V6 SUV. Improving performance, this SUV has multiple drive modes.

The 2024 Honda Pilot has a solid interior

With room for up to eight people, the 2024 Honda Pilot is a spacious midsize SUV with plenty of room to spare. However, people should know that the EX-L trim has the option of second-row captain’s chairs, which lowers the seating capacity to seven. Of course, the interior features largely depend on the trim in question, but all versions are attractive and made from quality materials. Regarding cargo storage, the SUV can accommodate about six decent sized boxes behind the third row.

The 2024 Honda Pilot also has a great use of interior technology as it comes standard with both a 7.0-inch infotainment screen and a digital gauge cluster of the same size. The infotainment system works with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and it’s also easy to use. Though this system is nice, the TrailSport, Touring, and Elite trims have a 9.0-inch unit and a 10.2-inch gauge cluster. Regarding sound systems, the Touring and Elite trims have a premium Bose system.

The 2024 Honda Pilot is also a safe SUV, making it a top rated option in this regard. Of course, it has all the normal safety features, but the new Pilot also has the Honda Sensing Driver Assistance features.
