Not only is this one of the best small cars money can buy, but it’s also a decently economical option for people on a budget. The 2024 Toyota Corolla may not be the fastest ride on the road, but it does deliver solid performance. According to Edmunds, it has a 2.0-liter inline-four engine with a maximum output of 169 horsepower and a torque of 151 lb-ft. This is a front-wheel drive vehicle, and it uses a continuously variable transmission.

Regarding speed, the 2024 Toyota Corolla takes about 8.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour. However, what helps make this one of the best small cars is its fuel economy. It averages 31 miles per gallon in the city and 40 MPG on the highway. People who don’t want the newest model should be aware that the 2023 Toyota Corolla offers the same performance.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla has a well balanced interior

The great thing about small cars these days is that they also offer decent seating. This option seats up to five people and has a decent amount of room for people to stretch out. Regarding trunk space, the hatchback version of the Corolla offers 23 cubic feet of storage, while the sedan grants up to 13 cubic feet. However, the sedan has better legroom for backseat passengers.

The 2024 Toyota Corolla is also great because buyers can add many notable features. Some of the options include ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and heated seats in the front.

This is also one of the best small cars because it has a great use of interior technology. It has an eight-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen display that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car comes standard with six speakers, but some trims offer a JBL system with nine speakers. This is a car that everyone involved can enjoy riding in.
