By Mike Garcia
Just when Porsche 911’s couldn’t get anymore confusing, more models got added to the line up. Some of the best models across the Porsche range are the GTS models. There’s a 911, 911 Carrera S, 911 Carrera 4, 911 Carrera 4S, 911 Turbo, 911 Turbo S, 911 Targa 4, 911 Targa 4S, 911 GT3, 911 GT3-RS, 911 Cabriolet, 911 Cabriolet S, 911 Cabriolet 4, 911 Cabriolet 4S, 911 Carrera GTS, 911 Carrera 4 GTS, 911 Turbo Cabriolet, 911 Turbo Cabriolet S, and a 911 50th anniversary edition. The four variants of the 911 Carrera GTS close the gap between the 911 Carrera S and the 911 GT3. The model, available as coupe and convertible, is equipped with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive and develops 430 hp. The Sport Chrono package and other performance enhancing features are fitted as standard equipment. The Cayenne GTS develops 440 hp and has an especially sporty, air suspension equipped, chassis with a ride height lowered by 20 millimeters, boosting driving performance to even higher levels. The third new model at the Auto Show is the Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive Series which offers a particularly luxurious combination of performance and exclusivity.
The upside to every variant of a Porsche is the amount of customization. Every owner can work on the finer details of exactly what they want. Do I want 400 horsepower? No, only 430 horsepower will suffice. Do I want leather? Do I want alcantara?
The entire Porsche line up is enticing. The 991 Carrera GTS models along with the Cayenne GTS and the Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive Series, just add the extra bit of detail and refinement that a new Porsche owner may want.
That way, it isn’t just any other Porsche. After all, there is no substitute.
