Hennessey Teases 2015 Hennessey HPE800 Supercharged Camaro Z/28

Hennessey recently dropped a video teasing its 2015 HPE800 Supercharged Camaro Z/28 and it’s a carnival of sights and sounds for the eyes and ears to behold.

The 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is already a beast of a track car to begin with. It’s over 300 lbs lighter than the ZL1, it’s powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0 liter V8 good for 505 HP and 481 lbs-ft of torque. In stock trim, the Z28 Camaro can blast to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds and reach a terminal velocity of 172 MPH.

What Hennessey does is slap on a supercharger, all the right supporting mods which turns up the boost via parasitic draw to the tune of an additional 295 HP. That’s right, they didn’t name it the HPE800 for no reason.

Not only do you get a supercharger but forged steel rods and aluminium pistons, a high flow intercooling system as well as fuel injectors, ported cylinder heads, an HPE800 camshaft and upgraded Valvetrain parts.

Additional bolt-ons include stainless steel headers, high flow cats and an upgraded clutch.

All this is professionally installed by Hennessey technicians with final numbers being confirmed on the dyno.

Everyone will know you’re rocking some serious power even before they see you turn the key because all HPE800 packages comes with Hennessey Premium Floormats, Carbon Fiber Door Sills and special exterior badging.

Most importantly, Hennessey will throw in an exclusive one year/ 12,000 mile warranty to back up their work.

Similar kits on Chevrolet Corvette’s cost around $54,000 not including the price of the car.

Basically what you have in your hands when you pony up this money is a Dodge Challenger / Charger SRT Hellcat killer. Sure it costs way much more, but you’ll have something much more exclusive.

And you’ll be happy to know your car can somewhat carve it up on the track, unlike the lumbering Hellcat’s.
