By Paulo Acoba
Remember that car in Furious 7 Vin Diesel jump through two high rises? Well, now Abu Dhabi’s finest have one in their possession according to GT Spirit (June. 3, 2015) and they are ready to pull over the fastest exotic supercars that the Middle East has to throw their way. It’s not totally clear at the moment if they’ll actually use this car for daily traffic stops or if it’s all just one giant publicity stunt. But for now it looks like the Lykan Hypersport has the right paint scheme to strike fear into the hearts of any speeding motorist there.

It seems like every once in a while, Abu Dhabi’s police will add a ridiculous car to its fleet all for no particular reason other then to be the “most baller” police force the world has every known. Although Italy runs a close second with their fleet of Lamborghini’s ready to pull over just about anyone. Just a couple of weeks ago, they were testing a Rolls-Royce Phantom to promote traffic safety in the city. In addition, it’s reported that they also have a Ford F-150 Raptor, Nissan GT-R and Chevrolet Camaro at their disposal which they routinely use to patrol the city streets.
According to W-Motors, the manufacturers of the Lykan Hypersport, there twin-turbocharged flat six derived from RUF motorsports is capable of sending the car to 60 MPH in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 238 MPH all thanks to its 770 HP and 707 lbs-ft of torque. Neither the top speed nor the 0-60 times have been confirmed solely because there are none available to the press. So the next time you’re speeding in Abu Dhabi, it’s best if you familiarize yourself with the Lykan Hypersport’s front headlight pattern….just in case.
