This is what McLaren’s Twin turbo V8 sounds like.

The 2016 McLaren 570S was first unveiled in New York back in April and the automotive world has been anticipating its arrival with bated breath. It looks like the McLaren 570S was recently caught starting up its twin turbo V8 during a private launch party at McLaren’s exclusive Paris dealership location (oh la la.) It was thankfully caught and uploaded by WorldSuperCars on Youtube earlier last week (June. 20, 2015) and it’s online for you to enjoy and listen to. The actual clip of the startup is right at the beginning so you can’t miss it and the rest of the video is a bit of a walkaround as well as the car being loaded onto the carrier. Check out the video below.

If you don’t already know, the McLaren 570S will be the vanguard car for McLaren’s all-new Sports Series. Powering this baby McLaren P1 will be a twin turbo V8 good for 562 HP and 443 lbs-ft of torque with all that power coming from behind the driver. Everything is mounted to a carbon fiber tub for both lightweight strength and structural stiffness. Expect this sports car to hit 60 MPH in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 204 MPH. Estimated MSRP will be about $185,000 so while it won’t be exactly affordable, it will be attainable if you’re in the market for something fast, but not quite hypercar fast. And if you’ve got the 570S on your brain, play around with the official configurator to pass the time.

Expected to be released to the public later this year, this car will mark the beginning of increased production for McLaren. With the success of the McLaren P1 as well as other cars in its portfolio, McLaren will begin ramping up production from 1,800 cars last year to 4,000 two years from now. It looks like Porsche, Mercedes, Jaguar and Audi better take notice from this British automaker.
