Your eyes do not deceive you. That is indeed a bathtub making its way up this Swiss Hill Climb
Ever wanted to immerse yourself in a nice bath and simultaneously dominate a hill climb? Thanks to a video upload by MPZRaceVideo earlier today (Sept. 9, 2015) we caught a glimpse of this awesome swiss racing driver Hannes Roth making his way up a Swiss Hill Climb. Check out the video of this epic run yourself below.
This isn’t your regular go-kart with a bathtub on top, this is an all out race go-kart with dual exhausts sticking out the back and a full shower head and scrub brush for your convenience. It really is a spectacle of epic proportions as you have all these serious full-size race cars, and suddenly around the corner you catch a glimpse of this bath tub straight whipping it around the corners.

The event is called Bergrennen Reitnau and for the past 50 years it’s been the site of an epic hill climb. The event is a mini-Woodstock of sorts with a drift show and concert on day one and a hill climb the next. Hill climbs are racing events most popular in Europe that pits car against hill as race car drivers blast up a hill, racing against the clock with the fastest time winning. If you’re any sort of gear-head, you’re probably familiar with the Goodwood Festival of Speed, arguably one of the most famous hill climbs also held annually.
Hats off to you Hannes Roth for taking a somewhat serious racing endeavour and making it your own.
