This Is It: Ludacris’ Restored 1993 Acura Legend Debuts At 2015 SEMA
By Paulo Acoba
Ludacris infamously daily drove this 1993 Acura Legend before he got famous and now Acura has lovingly restored it back to its former self and thrown on some tasteful modifications to boot.
Sitting next to Galpin Auto Sports 2016 Acura ILX is a 23 year-old Acura Legend lovingly restored by Acura and currently owned by Rapper and movie star Ludacris. Earlier today (Nov. 3, 2015) Acura went ahead and pulled the covers off Ludacris’s restored 1993 Acura Legend. Back in April we reported that Ludacris currently still owns and drives this used Acura which he prominently featured on his album cover. Using his own money, he restored is using all original interior panels including an entirely overhauled engine. And although it was pretty much brand new from their, Acura Design decided to do another complete overhaul as well as throw a bit of style the Legend’s way and now it’s been reborn again. Check out the restored Legend below.

According to Acura, the restoration took more than two months to complete. Gone are the factory OEM wheels as they have been replaced with 18 inch Rays Engineering wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenzas. Stopping shouldn’t be an issue now thanks to 6 piston calipers up front and 4 piston calipers in the rear. Outside, the paint scheme has been refreshed with an ice-pearl paint scheme and a warm cashmere interior.
And tunes couldn’t be ignored as Ludacris was hooked up by Pioneer with an AVIC 8/ONIX sound system with integrated Car Play all aided by two Alpine Type-12 subwoofers out back.
The altitude has been lowered and the attitude raised thanks to a two-inch drop courtesy of H&R Springs and Eibach camber kit.
And when we say they did a rotisserie build, everything was refreshed underneath. According to Acura, “Additionally frame, body and chassis work was completed to ensure the Legend continues to be an enjoyable driver for years to come.”
