Illest Taiwan dropped its latest video coverage of its 2015 HellaFlush Taiwan show.

Talk about going global as it looks like Taiwan just held its first legit HellaFlush show and from the looks of the video coverage that just hit the web, it was a pretty awesome inaugural show. Check out that video below.

According to their post on Facebook,

"So many haters but at the same time bring em. Hellaflush started in 2003 and many said it was just a fad. So far for being a fad. 12 years strong. Here’s a recent event held in Taiwan by our friends at Illest Taiwan."

Not only was there your standard lineup of dope cars making their way around the parking lot (did we spy some RWB Porsche’s?,) it looks like some of Taiwan’s best break dancers came out to strut their stuff in the open air thanks to the guest DJ’s.  And talk about a car show trend gone viral as any fitment show isn’t complete without that all important speed bump contest which pits lowered fitment and ground scraping aero against your run of the mill “sleeping policeman.”

From an initial first watch, it looks like many of the same trends that took a foothold here in the United States (whose origins finds its roots in Japan) found their way to Taiwan. That includes the requisite over fender kits, aggressive fitments, uncommon authentic aero-kits and air ride suspension on otherwise unassuming makes and models. Dare we say that Taiwan’s Hellaflush movement might be even cleaner than it is in the United States?

Seeing that Taiwan has a per vehicle capita of 324 vehicles per 1000 people compared to the United States’s 809 vehicles per 1000, we can assume the Taiwanese people take their car ownership a bit more seriously and with more respect seeing how not that many people even own cars.

Hellaflush claims to be the original fitment movement started in 2003 with origins tied back to the Fatlace brand which saw its own inception back towards the turn of the century in 1999.

Wherever these Hellaflush trends go, it’s always interesting to see how one country takes it and runs with it. Taiwan seems to be doing quite well.
