This Throwback Photo Of Top Gear’s Richard Hammond Has Hints Of Tolkien

One keen Redditor on Reddit’s /r/TopGear dug up this fond throwback of a photo featuring one Richard Hammond standing in what he says was his favorite spot in the entire world.
With Jeremey Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May currently filming their new car show to be released sometime next year and the last episode of Top Gear UK airing months ago in June, fans have found all sorts of ways to entertain themselves while they wait for the return of their favorite triumvirate including digging up old throwback photos of their presenters in unflattering situations. According to one of the latest Reddit topics on Reddit’s /r/TopGear subreddit’s, one Redditor happened to come across this particular photo of one young Richard Hammond posing in front of a vast valley in a throwback of epic proportions. From the looks of this particular photo it seems this was taken during one of the more carefree days of Hammond’s life. One commentator was able to narrow down where exactly this particular photo was taken. According to /user/Replicated
"I think that’s his favorite place, he spoke about it in some weather documentary I would recommend if I remembered the name, it rains there a lot."
And after a cursory search on Google, an interview with Hammond and Vicki Power of UK Express revealed that this place was one not to far from where Hammond lives, even though he’s more than a well-traveled individual. According to Express, “it’s also Britain’s rainiest spot, with four meters of the wet stuff a year.”
"I got to go to Buttermere in the Lake District, which is my favorite place in the world When I drive down the Honister Pass and arrive at Buttermere, I always get tears in my eyes.”"
