Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson showed his appreciation for what his uncle did for him many years ago by giving him a lifted Ford F-150.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been known to be generous with his time and money when it comes to showing appreciation for those that did him well when he was starting out as a young wrestler and what he just did for his uncle was no different. According to Dwayne Johnson off his personal Instagram earlier Sunday, he gave his personal lifted Ford F-150 to his Uncle, a former wrestler himself, who had helped him in the early stages of his wrestling career. Check out the personal story shared below as well as a couple of shots of the truck when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was rocking it himself.

Most people know that Dwayne Johnson’s father was a wrestler, but not many people know that his uncle, Tong Fifita a.k.a. King Haku, was also a professional wrestler who made his name in the WCW and WWF.

According to “The Rock,” he got his first real break in wrestling when he was called up by Vince Macmahon himself for a tryout match in Corpus Christi, Texas. Little did they know that this tryout match was “The Rock’s” first match in public, ever. After a quick run to his local sporting goods store for some knee-pads (that were actually girl’s volleyball kneepads,) he hit up his now-famous Uncle for a set of wrestling trunks.

"He said all I have is a pair of shiny purple trunks (purple was his signature color), I told him I don’t care if the trunks are all the colors of Skittles, I’ll happily wear them. When I picked the trunks up from him I’ll never forget the monster hug he gave me, look me in the eyes and said, “I’m so proud of you. Go get ’em nephew!”"

And as the Rock said, the rest was pretty much history.

As for this particular Ford F-150 he chose as a gift, we’ve seen this truck on “The Rock’s” Instagram from time to time. We already know how, try as he may, he can’t seem to find a supercar that can fit his 6 foot 5-inch wrestlers frame like how big ol’ Ford F-150 can, thus his propensity for large trucks.

We think Ford might’ve given “The Rock” a new Ford F-150 to drive around town in since he’s made a couple of commercials for them featuring his larger-than-life presence.

Props to “The Rock” for showing  a big part of what truly matters when you’ve “made it big,” which is giving thanks to those who’ve made it possible for you.
