Animals singing classic rock hits are usually key ingredients to a smile-inducing Super Bowl ad and it looks like Honda is tapping into that recipe with their latest 2017 Honda Ridgeline Super Bowl Ad.

Honda is betting $8 million (the cost of a 60-second Super Bowl spot) that a herd of singing sheep, a talking dog and a bit of Freddie Mercury will help sway a more than a few people in the market for a new truck towards their 2017 Honda Ridgeline. According to Honda’s press release earlier Monday, Honda’s innovative 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup will lead the flock in thanks to their new Super Bowl Commercial. Take a sneak peak at their humorous little ad below.

According to Honda,

"The spot signals not only Honda’s return to the Super Bowl, but the return of the all-new Ridgeline to market. A pickup unlike any other, Ridgeline’s innovative features include the available truck-bed audio system and the standard in-bed storage trunk and dual-action tailgate — all industry-exclusive features."

Honda is hoping to distract you from the fact that it’s not your typical body-on-frame truck design by showcasing that it’s still a very capable piece of equipment with a host of features that you’re sure to love. It’s integrated in-bed audio system and in-bed trunk design are exclusive features not offered by any other truck on the market. And unlike some manufacturers, there’s a real spare tire in that storage area.

This Super Bowl ad kicks off a multi-platform campaign for the 2017 Honda Ridgeline, so from now on, you’ll definitely see more ads all over Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and on T.V.
