The ultimate off-road truck, 2017 Ram Power Wagon features a number of off-road specific enhancements, including: a unique suspension creating 14 inches of ground clearance and more than two inches of lift; a best-in-class 410 horsepower, 6.4-liter HEMI¨ V-8 engine; locking differentials; a12,000-lb. electric winch; unique 17-inch wheels, and 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires. The latest 2017 Ram Power Wagon takes the Ram line to a higher level.

The 2017 Ram Power Wagon was revealed at the Chicago Auto Show.  The Ram Power Wagon is a model line that dates back to 1946.  It symbolizes tough, rugged, heavy-duty design for the Ram series.

The 2017 Ram Power Wagon delivers to those who travel into extreme terrain, while providing the towing and payload capability required in a heavy-duty truck.”"

Truer words have never been spoken.  The Power Wagon comes with a 6.4 liter HEMI V8, capable of 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque.  That allows it to pull just over 10,000 lbs. for towing purposes.

What distinguishes the Power Wagon from other Ram trucks is the off-road capability.  The front suspension includes an “Articulink” system along with a sway-bar disconnecting system.  This allows for greater range of motion for the struts and axles to tackle the largest of obstacles ahead.  The rear suspension includes a five-link set up, similar to most performance sedans.  This allows for better ride control and sure-footedness on the road.

Not only can the suspension handle great obstacles, but the power train helps push through it with front and rear electronic-locking differentials.  If things get a little too hairy, a winch, located behind the front bumper, is capable of 12,000 lbs. of pulling power as well.
