Renault Sport F1 Had Best Response For No Fire-Up Video Yet

In response to some fans asking why Renault Sport F1 didn’t have a start-up video yet for their RS16, they responded with this.
Winter testing is wrapping up and testing for the Formula 1 season is just around the corner. That means many teams are sharing the startup sounds of their newest power units. A couple of F1 fans asked Renault Sport F1 where their startup engine video was. According to Renault Sport F1 on Twitter earlier Monday, they responded with this. “We don’t have a cool fire-up video yet. So here is a kitten sounding like a lion instead. Because #CatsOfTwitter.”Check out that awesome tweet below.
Before this new Renault Sport F1 team was known as such, they were the Lotus Renault F1 team. During that time, their twitter account was notorious for tweeting out some of the more funny pieces of news and announcements over social media. By the looks of things, that humor hasn’t gone been changed during this transition (to the delight of F1 fans.)
Just a little over a week ago, Renault Sport F1 unveiled their new RS16 race car that will be driven by GP2 champion Jolyon Palmer and Kevin Magnusson (who will replace Pastor Maldonado.) Since their merger and takeover in 2011, this will be the first time Renault is back in the game as a full constructor.
Renault has been in Formula 1 since 1977. In that time, they’ve won over 12 constructors championships, 11 drivers’ titles and 168 individual races. Many fans of the team hope that 2016 will see their drivers return to form.
