Lakers Guard D’Angelo Russell Rolls In A Wraith
By Mike Garcia
Los Angeles Lakers’ D’Angelo Russell was found on Instagram in a Rolls-Royce Wraith.
Celebrity cars are an interesting topic. For the most part, I think it’s expected for celebrities to drive, or be driven in luxury cars, such as a Mercedes Benz or a Cadillac. Things get more interesting when celebrities have a particular interest in cars. After all, they have the ability to afford the cars that we would love to have in our garage.

D’Angelo Russellhas been on an absolute tear at the end of February and carrying momentum into the month of March, just in time for March Madness. Those who remember me from
on
, would remember the extensive draft coverage for 2014. I can’t help it. I am also a Laker fan.
Through five games in March, he has been averaging 23.6 points, 2.8 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game on 47.3% shooting from the field, and 43.6% behind the arc.
So, why would D’Angelo Russell drive a Rolls-Royce Wraith? The answer is simple. It has one of the most plush interiors on the planet. In fact, it is so plus, it was awarded Ward’s 10 Best Interiors in 2014.
"“Rolls-Royce is honored to be awarded 2014 Ward’s 10 Best Interiors,” said Eric C. Shepherd, President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America. “The level of sophistication and polish the Wraith offers – both interior and exterior – is a testament to the Rolls-Royce marque. This accolade adds to the high distinction Wraith continues to amass within the automotive community and consumers alike.”"
That’s not all.
The 2016 Rolls-Royce Wraith has a 6.6-liter V-12 under the hood, capable of 624 horsepower. As expected with the Rolls-Royce brand, power and speed come on effortlessly. Speed increases with little drama. It simply wafts along roads and covers ground in no time.

The car is very symbolic of D’Angelo Russell’s talent. When he attacks the hoop, he seems to waft past defenders, gliding his way to the basket. It is absolutely effortless.
Russell has a some flash to his game as well. After hitting a few clutch shots against the Brooklyn Nets, he let us know where the ice is.
Frankly, I need ice in my veins to get a Rolls-Royce Wraith too.
