With the weather being a big factor in Round 1 of the Formula Drift Season Opener in Long Beach last month, the top drifters in the world are now ready and eager to tear up some “dry” pavement at Road Atlanta this weekend. The forecast calls for clear and sunny skies, and what better place to kick off Round 2 than at the Inaugural Formula Drift playground at Road Atlanta. Road Atlanta has the cambered turns to keep the action close.
Art of Gears has got you covered with the link to the Live Stream and Saturday’s full event schedule.

Congratulations to Chelsea Danofa and the BC Racing BMW crew on his first Formula DRIFT victory at Round 1 on the streets of Long Beach. Does he have what it takes to remain on top? You can be sure that the with a field of 32 heavy hitter’s like Mad Mike Whiddett, Ken Gushi, and Vaughn Gittin Jr, the clear sky’s are going to make for some exciting drifting action.

Did I mention that Tanner Foust and his V8 powered Volkswagon will be running in this week’s event as well? The two-time Formula Drift Champion will be returning for three rounds in the 2016 Formula Drift season: Road Atlanta, Evergreen Speedway (Seattle), and Texas Motor Speedway. So who’s your favorite Formula DRIFT Driver? Let us know in the comments below. I have my eye on Vaughn Gittin Jr. taking home the top prize this weekend at Road Atlanta.
