Round 4 of the Formula DRIFT Pro Season finds us traveling to the high banked oval racetrack at Wall Speedway in New Jersey. This unique paved oval plays host to a number of different types of racing classes each week. From Pro Stock to Midget Racing, this track hosts it all. With its legendary 16 degree banked oval it should make for some exciting Pro Drift matchups.

More from Art of Gears

Last year’s Formula Drift Champion Fredric “The Norwegian Hammer” Aasbo took home the top prize in Round 3 Orlando, and proved that consistency wins races. Vaughn Gitten Jr. was taken out early and two-time Orlando winner Chris Forsberg managed to hold on for a third place victory. Kristaps Bluss and his team at HGK, blew past some big names to capture a second place finish for Round 3. The overall point standings have switched hands once again with Aasbo on top, followed by Gitten Jr. and Chris Forsberg.

We have not received this week’s Formula DRIFT Gauntlet preview video yet (C’mon Formula D!!), so here is some highlights from previous New Jersey events.

Art of Gears has got you covered with the link to the Live Stream for both Friday and Saturday’s events as well as the full event schedule for Saturday.

Congrats to Fredric Aasbo and the Scion Rockstar Energy Racing crew on their Formula DRIFT victory at Round 3 in Orlando. Does he have what it takes to remain on top? Aasbo has the momentum leading up this event. But because of the unique banked oval that is Wall Speedway, look for the underdogs to come up big in The Gauntlet.

Who do you think will take Round 4 on the Jersey Shores? Hit us up on Twitter and let us know. I have my eye on Matt Field’s Falken Tire Nissan 240 Team for this race. If you’re wondering what the Top 32 standing now look like based off of rankings, click here to see how it’ll all go down on Saturday.
