Promotion for The Grand Tour is in full swing as Amazon announces plans of streaming the new show in 200 countries worldwide starting in December.

The Grand Tour is finally making it’s much anticipated US debut this week on Amazon Prime, and it looks like the cast is up to their old tricks that made watching this trio so special.

All month long, the producers of The Grand Tour have been giving us teaser videos and pics of just how outrageous the new show will be when the first episode debuts today.

This week, the show surprised the world by strategically placing three wrecked Prius Hybrids in London, Berlin, and one that was dropped directly on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The irony of the stunt is that on the team’s former hit series Top Gear, the trio had always been very vocal about their dislike for the Prius Hybrid.  Well, it looks like some things never change!

The placement of the vehicles comes right as the announcement was made that the new Amazon Prime Show will be broadcast in 200 different countries around the world. Coincidence? I think not.

This alone shows the level of commitment the producers are putting into the success of this show as it will now be broadcast in almost as many countries as the hit show Top Gear!

The announcement was made by James May, Richard Hammond, and Jeremy Clarkson on YouTube.

The Grand Tour will stream its first episode today in the US and will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers in the UK, Japan, Austria, and Germany on Friday.

The global expansion of the show will take place shortly after with the surprise announcement that Amazon will use the new show to expand its video service.
