Tesla announces a new program in Europe called “Drive To Believe” which aims at boosting sales of the Model S overseas.

The Tesla Model S campaign here in the US is already an extremely successful program. Sales for the Model S here in the US is now nearly twice as high as it’s competitors, and according to Clean Technica, accounts for 1/3 of the total large luxury sedans that are sold in America.

The electric vehicle is so popular that Forbes has called the Model S “The Most-Loved Car In America.”

Well, Tesla Motors Inc. is now looking to boost its popularity in Europe by announcing a new Model S campaign for prospective buyers across the pond. The new campaign, called “Drive To Believe,” will offer consumers the chance to drive a Tesla Model S for one week by swapping their currently owned car.

Although Tesla vehicles have a strong following in Europe, countries such as Germany have just recently approved government incentives to buy electric vehicles. Tesla hopes these newly announced incentives will draw consumers back to the Tesla dealerships for another look at this luxury sedan.

Residents of UK, France, Germany, Sweden Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland Denmark, and Italy will be eligible to participate. That’s quite a list of European countries and shows the level of commitment Tesla Motors Inc. is investing in boosting sales in Europe.

The campaign takes place this month and will run until December 31st, 2016. Minimum age to participate in the program in 25 years old.

We think this is a smart marketing campaign and expect that it will be very popular for people interested in purchasing a new Model S. We would also like to see how many people actually keep the vehicle after the one-week swap.
