Forget the companies which make up the Top 10 list of “Best Companies in the World to Work for”. For die-hard exotic car lovers, Koenigsegg will be way above all those firms which are in the aforementioned list. And now the exotic carmaker has reached out to their fans and followers on social media to apply for over 40 new positions at the company’s Ängelholm facility in Sweden.

The social media route to publicize the openings has won our hearts instantly. There is something personal and special about a hypercar manufacturer asking their fans to come and work with them.

Whether Koenigsegg finds the right people from their Facebook/Twitter fans, subscribers to their newsletters and daily readers of their blog is another story. But the message has now for sure reached all the right people and all that while scoring lots of positive PR and goodwill.

The official blog had this to say on the job opportunities available at Koenigsegg.

"Right now, we’re looking for 40 skilled workers to help us build those cars at the dream factory here in Ängelholm.Writing about it on our website and reaching out via Facebook and Twitter might seem a little unusual, but then we’re looking for unusual (and extraordinary) people. We’re looking for the guy or girl who might be passionate enough about Koenigsegg to check in here regularly, but someone who might also have their own UserID on a forum like Buildthreads or Garaget. We’re looking for passionate car people who have spent years getting their hands dirty. You might have built your own project car, restored a classic or fabricated and then installed your own interior. Whatever your specialty, if you’ve got the right mix of technical chops and attitude, we want to hear from you."

The roles are spread across various domains ranging from CAD Design to Engine Building, Prototyping to Final Assembly and Polishing to Interior Work. There seems to be a role for almost everyone who has had both the experience and the passion to work on making great cars.

The requirement for 40 new employees has risen because Koengsegg is planning to reduce the current car delivery waiting period of 4 years to a manageable 2 years. The demand for Koengisegg’s hypercars have increased over the past few years and the niche carmaker could really use some extra hands here to ensure a quicker delivery time to the affluent customers.

Koenigsegg’s portfolio consists of the Regera and the Agera RS. Both cars are sold to millionaires around the world after completing extensive customization based on the tastes and demands of each customer.
