Come again? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? One look at the Mercedes Benz G500 4×4² is enough to make it hard to believe that it was a Toyota Prius that rolled it over.

In a typical case of David vs Goliath and David walking away from the arena after the fall of the almost indestructible rival, a Toyota Prius hybrid managed to survive a crash in London the other day. The Goliath happened to be a massive and intimidating Mercedes Benz Brabus G500 4×4².

Even we found it hard to digest that a puny little Toyota Prius making it out alive after being in a crash with a mammoth like the Brabus G500 4×4². One look at the SUV is more than enough to give the average road users a massive stroke. Because it so damn tall and will make you hope that John McClane is not at its wheel. Thank you, A Good Day to Die Hard, for instilling the fear of madcap G-Class SUVs in us.

So how did this happen? If these two collided, it should’ve resulted in the Toyota Prius ending up in a twisted heap of plastic and metal. How did a beast like the Brabus G500 4×4² end up rolling over and getting most of its body panels mangled on crashing into a Prius?

We’ll put the blame on that insane ride height here. Though various news reports on it are highlighting different versions of the incident, most do state that the G500 jumped the red light and ran over the front section of the Toyota Prius which was driving across the intersection.

Should we feel bad about ourselves for chuckling a bit on seeing the Toyota Prius moving around the accident scene despite having a huge SUV run over its nose a short while ago? The G500 on the other hand, had to be towed off the scene.

That’s a recipe for disaster, especially for a jacked-up SUV with large wheels and a ride height which requires you to have actual ladders to step into it. The enormous SUV rolled over on impact and also managed to crash through a bus stop before coming to a halt.

Though videos of the major portion of the crash aren’t available, some of the bystanders did get to shoot the final moments of it. Pictures have also started showing up on social media.

This yellow Ferrari GTO’s owner is the most grateful man on the planet today. The supercar was parked only a few yards away from the bus stop which the Brabus G500 crashed through.

The Brabus G500 4×4² belonged to Buddha Bar which is a popular bar and restaurant in London and the vehicle was often used to transport guests and for the rest of the time as a promo vehicle. Thankfully no guests were on board during the time of the crash. The Toyota Prius too had just the driver in it. And both the drivers walked away from the scene.
