A special edition Cadillac CTS-V called the Glacier Metallic Edition is being released to celebrate 115 years of the brand’s existence.

Cadillac has been around for a long time. 115 years to be precise, and in order to celebrate more than a century of making American luxury cars, the brand has come up with a special edition of its CTS sedan. The Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition is the name to remember, if you are planning to own one of these limited-production sedans.

Finished in a unique shade of light gray – a color which won’t be available on the standard issue CTS – only 115 units of the Glacier Metallic will be made. Based on the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V, this is more of a 115th anniversary gift from Cadillac to itself and to its customers. In addition to the paint scheme, the Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition cars also receive dark-red Brembo brake calipers as well as 19-inch polished-aluminum wheels which flaunt Midnight Silver–painted accents.

The rest of the package comprises of illuminated door handles, sunroof and the Carbon Fiber package. That means, the carbon splitter, hood vent, rear spoiler and the rear spoiler are where they should be. Step inside and its well-loaded up with Jet Black Recaro sport seats, Cadillac’s Performance Data Recorder and the CTS-V’s Luxury package.

More from Cars

The engine and mechanicals remain untouched. The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine SAE continues to deliver the same (but mighty impressive) 640 hp of power and 630 lb-ft of torque. Good enough for the morning dash to work and maybe to teach some of the sports cars in the neighborhood a lesson or two.

The Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition will set you back by $103,885, which is more or less the same price as a fully-equipped CTS-V. But you don’t get the special new paint on the regular car.

What you’ll get, like every CTS-V customer though, is a two-day course at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. You’re going to need that for sure to get the best out of your new Caddy.

The cars will start arriving at select dealers in the US from September 2017.
