The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show witnesses the world premiere of the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package and it costs the same as the standard 911 GT3.

Porsche has decided to give purists a car that shares the spirit of the 911 R, the latter of which was limited to 991 units worldwide. Those limited-edition cars are hyper-expensive in the pre-owner cars market and everyone wants one these days. To cater to the needs of the many, Porsche has launched the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package. A simple yet focused, driving machine which is meant to satisfy you, the men and women who desire the go and with less of the show.

The naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine that produces 500 hp of power and 339 lb-ft of torque has been taken from the 911 GT3. So the Touring Package model consumes 3.8 seconds to cross the 60 mph from a standstill. However, it’s slower by 2 mph, possessing a top whack of 196 mph. The engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual transmission, just the way the we love it.

Like the 911 R, the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package is devoid of the big rear wing. Instead, the small adaptive spoiler from the 911 Carrera, complete with a Gurney Flap at its edge, finds a home at the back.

More from Cars

The Porsche 911 GT3 With Touring Package is for those who don’t wish to show off. Understated look is back in fashion, gentlemen!

Inside, the leather and Alcantara-finished interior has seats for two, following the same pattern of the regular 911 GT3. Porsche doesn’t want the interior to be too crowded, we guess.

For those who wish totake to the personalization route; they can start picking from a range of exterior colors, wheel choices, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system, front axle lift system, LED headlights, three seat options and the Sport Chrono Package.

Before you start ticking the options on that list, the Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package will set you back by $145,000. That’s the same sum you have to part with for the standard-issue 911 GT3. So we might recommend that you choose this one over the other kid which has the rear wing borrowed from a whale. You can pick up the classy-yet-understated 911 GT3 Touring Package in early 2018.
