You liked the third-gen Porsche Cayenne which made its debut at Frankfurt? Then you’r going to love its Turbo variant.

A Porsche purist’s nightmare – the Cayenne – has quite literally been the cash cow for the brand. Which means, Porsche will continue to make and diversify these SUVs with the familiar family face. Look at what you have here – the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, which is in its third generation now. The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show debutant comes with a twin turbo 4.0-liter V8  that puts out 550 hp of power. That’s 30 more than the previous iteration and an equally massive 567 lb-ft of torque is at its disposal.

The mighty engine takes the SUV to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and for those who are into bragging about top speeds, the Cayenne Turbo tops out at 177 mph. Equip it with the optional Sports Chrono Package and the needle will jump past the 60 mph mark in 3.7 seconds.

Porsche has also added a whole new set of acronyms to make sure that the Cayenne behaves less like a tank and more like a 911. The new 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission gleefully transfers power to the wheels as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo embraces its sports car persona. The three chamber Porsche Air Suspension Management (PASM) lets you choose between six modes of cushioning,. Being an SUV, drive modes for Mud, Gravel, Sand and Rocks are also options to be selected along with settings for the differential lock.

The 12.3 inch high resolution screen merges well with the cabin and takes care of all your needs from entertainment to in-depth vehicle settings.
