Ozinga’s “Merry Mixer” Truck is Coming to Town to get you in the spirit. If this doesn’t get you excited about the holiday season, we don’t know what will.

Ozinga, a concrete supply company in Illinois, decorated a cement truck with 20,000 programmable LED lights. The festive truck, named the Merry Mixer, made its debut at the Mokena Parade of Lights, stunning spectators who were in awe of the view.

The truck is a 2017 Kenworth T880 McNeilus Bridgemaster ready-mix truck. Employees from the building company helped design the truck’s display. Various departments came together to install speakers and an amplify. The driver of the truck was ultimately the D.J., playing holiday tunes to get everyone into the spirit.

Ozinga said,

"“Over 100 feet of speaker cable was used to connect two JBL outdoor speakers that deliver 250 watts of power each. The speakers are connected and powered to a Sony XPLOD 400-watt amplifier located in the cab of the truck. The sound system is fully controlled from the driver in the cab.”"

According to Ozinga’s website, The Merry Mixer debuted on November 18th at the Mokena Parade of Lights and has made its way through quite a few events to bring joy to those who really need it.

After all, the holiday season tends to bring out the generosity in all of us and bring people together for the things that matter most. It is not always about giving a physical gift, sometimes your presence can make all the difference, and that is what this truck succeeded in doing.

According to The Herald, the Merry Mixer will continue around Illinois and Indiana aiming to benefit local nonprofit organizations.
