The teaser trailer for season 25 of Top Gear features a cameo by Ken Block, along with hosts Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris and Rory Reid.

At this moment, it seems as though everyone is watching the second season of The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime. That’s great and all, but don’t forget that Top Gear’s 25th season is just around the corner – well, sort of. Set to premiere in Spring 2018, the new season can be previewed in a trailer that was released on Christmas Day. What a gift, right?!

Last seasons hosts, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Harris, and Rory Reid, return thanks to a slew of positive reviews from last year’s show. In the hilarious 30-second clip, you can see the guys trying to escape from officer Ken Block, who is driving some kind of extreme off-roader. LeBlanc is fleeing in a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, while Harris is in a McLaren 570S, and Reid is running a Jaguar F-Type. Block’s surprise appearance, alone, was enough to get us excited for the season.

As Motor Authority put it,

"“Block is the last person we’d want pursuing us in a police chase, but here he is showing off his mad driving skills to catch the three main presenters. As for Block’s chase car, we can’t identify what exactly it is, but it would like right at home running the Baja 1000. In this Gymkana set up for the cast, it’s fast and capable of some pretty insane jumps. With Block at the wheel, the high-performance off-roader has no problem tracking down the presenters.”"

The trailer below previews just some of the shenanigans that is bound to take place in the 25th season of Top Gear.

It also marks the third season without Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The famous trio did come together for the second season of The Grand Tour, which premiered earlier this month on Amazon Prime.

We don’t know much of what’s to come for the new season, but we can safely assume that it is going to be wild. We expect to hear more details about it from BBC’s marketing department in the months to come, as the premier date approaches. For right now, though, kick back and enjoy this teaser.
