Tim Allen Gives Fans An Introduction To His New Shiny Ford GT
Actor and comedian Tim Allen recently shared a video to YouTube of him unloading his new $450,000 Ford GT, which he calls his “silver spaceship.”
Tim Allen, for those of you who don’t know, is a pretty avid car collector. On February 9th, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel of him giving fans a “quick introduction” to his new shiny silver Ford GT. There is actually another video on Youtube of someone who randomly spotted Tim Allen in his supercar.
Tim Allen’s clip incorporates a lot of his sarcastic and natural sense of humor that will definitely make you smile. Funny enough, the users in the comment section are not too pleased with the quality of the video. One user could not understand how he could afford a six figure car, but not a proper camera crew. But, we digress.
Tim Allen is just one of the lucky few who were handpicked by Ford to purchase the GT. Some factors that were taken into effect for this selection process include celebrity status, social media influence, and previous Ford ownership. Jay Leno actually got one, as did John Cena – who recently found himself in quite a bit of trouble. If you recall, we actually wrote a piece on Cena being sued by Ford for breaching a clause in his contract and reselling his car too early. (To read that story, click here.)
In his video clip, Tim Allen gets behind the wheel and takes the “silver spaceship” out on the road to show viewers what it is like.

Right off the bat, Allen explains how it feels more like a race car than a vehicle for the street. He should know; after all, he owns a Porsche Carrera GT that has an engine from an actual racecar. The Home Improvement star goes on to explain that the Ford GT is not practical or good for traveling, because of the lack of storage it contains. He points out that there is barely any room for him to place the key fob in the cabin. At the beginning, though, he does praise the adjustable suspension as he raises to car to a comfortable ride height for the streets.
Two rules for watching the video, as per Allen. The first rule is not to comment on his hair (as he repeatedly says). The second rule is not to comment about his shirt, or the fact that he changed his shirt mid-video. Now, go ahead and click on the clip below to see it for yourself.
