Who knew driving an exotic Porsche 918 has its benefits.

Porsche 918s and exotic cars in general are oftentimes purchased for their exclusivity, power, handling prowess and prominence they exude. But this Porsche 918 owner off of Instagram showcased that there are some hidden benefits attached to the Porsche 918 we might’ve never considered, like sliding underneath a parking barrier when you’re in a rush. With a static ride of just under 45 inches, the Porsche 918 is definitely in that league of cars with super sleek dimensions aided by a very low ride height. Check out that Instagram post below!

Costing the better part of $850,000, the Porsche 918 is a serious piece of machinery. Powered by a screamer of a V8 paired to two independent electric motors on either axle, total engine output hovers around 887 HP and 940 lb-ft of torque. But what contributes to the Porsche’s low ride height is the load-bearing structure of the carbon fiber reinforced polymer monocoque. That foundation enables Porsche’s engineers to place the entire engine and chassis components in such a way that maximum track capabilities expressed under high-stress driving conditions. But little did Porsche’s engineers know that a benefit of all this engineering enabled this one owner to easily slip under a parking garage barrier.

The Porsche 918 joins such exotics as the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster which stands at just a mere 41.9 inches, the original Ford GT-40 whose name clues us in on how tall that American supercar was and the Lamborghini Countach which had a ride height of just 40.8 inches.
