Teen Crashes Dad’s $63K 2016 Lexus RC F Into A Cliff And Flips It

It looks like a newly minted driver took his Dad’s 2016 Lexus RC F out for a rip on this California canyon and crashed it into the side of a cliff.
If you’re wondering why insurance rates are so high for newly licensed driver, this short Instagram video might prove exactly why. According to famed Mulholland Highway videographer and photographer RNickeymouse off of his personal Instagram earlier Wednesday, this teenage driver crashed his Dad’s 2016 Lexus RC F into the side of Mulholland Highway’s notorious cliffs and flipped the $63,000 performance car onto its side. To add insult to injury, the car was but a week old. Fortunately for him, he seems to be ok as the Lexus took most of the brunt of the collision, but as for the Lexus, it’ll be an open and shut case for the insurance adjusters once they take a glance at this vehicle at the wrecking yard. Seeing that the car is on its side and in a bid to be somewhat helpful, the surrounding crowd decides that the first thing they should do is flip the car over back on its tires. Keen listeners can hear someone in the crowd ask if the car is still on, which indeed it is. Unfortunately for this lot, the car itself is still on a slope and the driver most likely didn’t pull the emergency brake upon exiting. We see the aftermath of their decision to right the car as it starts to roll away from them.
One brave soul, whom we assume is the owner, jumps in the driver’s side and engages the parking brake to no avail. Thankfully, there’s a crash barrier placed on the side of the highway to prevent cars from making the plunge.
If the fans of Club Lexus on facebook are to be believed, it looks like a carbon package was also spotted on this 2016 Lexus RCF making this car worth about $5,500 more when it first rolled off the lot.
The 2016 Lexus RC F’s main competitor is the BMW M4 which will give you gearheads a hint as to why this teenager decided to test the limits of his 467 HP V8 Lexus on highway roads.

Hopefully this video will serve as a lesson to all car owners out there who live close to these fun yet dangerous highways. But seeing as the frequency RNickeyMouse is still uploading videos on youtube, it doesn’t look like anyone will learn their lesson any time soon.
