Lamborghini confirmed that they’re set to debut the drop-top Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder in a few days.

An announcement to Hollywood. Your Lamborghini Gallardos are set to be obsolete in less than a week. That’s because Lamborghini has confirmed, thanks to our motoring friends over at Auto Car earlier today ( Sept. 9, 2015) that the 2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder will officially debut in Frankfurt. Leading up to the debut, Lamborghini has been tweeting out all sorts of hazy images showcasing what’s obviously the Huracan sans roof. Lamborghini’s tagline has been, “The Sky Will Never Be The Same” and the more we ponder upon that line, we sort of see what Lamborghini has in store. Check out a couple of official tweets from Lamborghini hyping up its latest convertible below as well as a teaser video.

Performance specs have not been announced but as per usual, the drop top Huracan will use the same monstrous naturally aspirated V10 good for 600 HP and 412 Lb-Ft.  And yes, you can expect 0-60 MPH times to hit 3.2 seconds just like its closed top twin. You can look to the Gallardo for an idea of how much weight the Spyder will add which should be around 100 pounds or slightly less, which in the grand scheme of things is peanuts compared to how much weight the Huracan lugs around (which isn’t much at 3,135 pounds.)

That magic of a spyder is that you get all the performance pleasure of a Huracan with the aural pleasure of that Italian V10 out back. According to reports, you’ll be able to lower the rear glass behind you even with the top already up. Who needs an aux cable when you can just listen to that sweet V10.
