SEMA 2015: Hennessey Bringing 1451 HP Venom GT

In total, Hennessey will be bringing 2875 HP to the 2015 SEMA Show.
The kings of horsepower based out of Sealy, Texas are bringing what they call the “Trifecta of Speed and Power” to the 2015 SEMA Show. According to an official press release Hennessey dropped earlie this week (Oct. 29, 2015) they are showcasing an upgraded Venom GT Spyder, their HPE 750 Supercharged Mustang and a their VelociRaptor 650 Supercharged F-150. Draped in yellow, these cars represent the best Texas has to offer and should be more than enough power in one booth.

The big news seems to be their upgraded Venom GT Spyder which makes up more than half of the power between the three cars. Thanks to a switch to E85 Ethanol, the Venom GT Spyder is able to turn up the boost from 19 psi to 26 psi, good enough for 207 more HP bringing total engine power to 1451 BHP at a screaming 7200 RPM. Keep in mind in its previous guise, they were able to clock a 270 MPH terminal velocity. This time Hennessey is shooting for 280+ MPH.
Then there’s the 2016 HPE 750 Supercharged Ford Mustang Convertible ( we repeat…convertible) which thanks to 9 psi of boost courtesy of Hennessey’s supercharger, is the only 2015 Ford Mustang that can hit 200 MPH ( and some change. ) It actually hit 207.9 MPH on Jay Leno’s Garage and you can see that video below.

Finally, if the 2015 Ford Raptor couldn’t get any better, Hennessey throws on a supercharger with seven psi of boost and brings final power numbers to 650 HP from the 5.0 Liter V8 engine.
