SEMA 2015: Corey Hosford’s Street Standard Nissan S14 Is Literally The Boss

We’re saying it right now. Corey Hosford’s Street Standard S14 has officially won SEMA.

First there’s that 1000 plus horsepower engine. Then there’s that dope bespoke Rocket Bunny aero kit (that’s not really aero technically…but cool a.f.) that’s got the attention of hotrod and import fans alike. Earlier today (Nov. 2, 2015) Corey Hosford and his street standard team went ahead and unveiled his Nissan S14 which he’s aptly dubbed, “The Boss” for SEMA 2015. First Hosford and his dedicated team of builders decided to go with Rocket Bunny’s newly introduced aero kit for the S14 S-chassis appropriatly called, “The Boss.” Generally, it’s a Rocket Bunny S14 Widebody Kit and according to Road & Track, “If that looks an awful lot like a 1970 ‘Cuda nose shrunk to 3/4 scale and grafted onto the front of a Nissan S14 (a 200SX, technically, similar to a 240SX stateside), you’re not wrong.” Reactions to the aero kit have both sides of the spectrum chiming in with people in shock or absolutely loving it with 80 percent of reactions trending towards the later.

If you happen to have an S-Chassis S14 and want to slap this kit on your own before any paint is laid, according to Greddy performance it’ll cost you $4380. Hey, you gotta pay to play! We personally think it looks absolutely dope.

We’re not entirely sure what the paint scheme hearkens back to, but we’re sure there’s an explanation for that.

Underneath the hood, it’s good ol’ American power thanks to the Texas Tuners Mast Motorsports and their 402 cubic inch LSX motor. When Hosford slaps a turbo on it, it should be good for more than 1000 HP.

We’re still not entirely sure if Corey plans to camapaign this car in Formula Drift as he is a professional drifter, but if he does he’ll definitly have everyone’s attention. And let’s hope Rocket Bunny cuts him a deal because replacement panels don’t exactly come cheap.
