Rumor: Alfa Romeo Giulia’s Engine Lineup Leaked
By Paulo Acoba
Alfa Romeo has already unveiled its Giulia Sedan to the world but has remained mum about what kind of engines would lie underneath the hood and know we might now.
The 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia has already made its market with multiple unveils around the world first starting off in Italy with the most recent one during the 2015 Dubai International Motor show. According to our motoring friends over at Car Scoops earlier today (Nov. 16, 2015) we might actually have the full engine lineup thanks to an internal leaked document with the whole lineup.

We already know that Alfa Romeo’s hottest Giulia, the Quadrifoglio Verde, is already coming out with guns a blazing with its 2.9 twin-turbo V6 good for 510 HP that’ll have the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, BMW 3-series, Jaguar XE and Cadillac ATS all shaking in their respective boots.
Other than that Ferrari-derived engine, we now know that the base engine will be a 2.0 liter Global Medium engine in three power trims, a 200,250 and 280 HP.
The curveball of them all seems to be the diesel variant of the Giulia with a 2.2- liter JTDM in three power variants, 150,180 and 210 HP. That last power unit can be paired to AWD and an automatic transmission.
No official word from FCA when all these trims will hit the showroom floors but most estimate that it’ll be until around this time (fall) next year that Giulia’s will start popping up in markets across the world.

We can’t blame Alfa for taking their sweet time as this car will pretty much set the tone for the other seven models that are supposedly supposed to all drop before 2018.
